Thanks, everyone for your well wishes! I've asked a couple of other people who were also at the party if they knew Mon. No success yet, but I will keep trying! I've been an expatriate (from Canada) in Copenhagen for 4 years, and always enjoy meeting other expats, some of whom have turned into great friends.

As for how many Thai girls are in Copenhagen, that's anyone's guess! It's very hard to estimate the number of foreigners from any country, except very roughly.

That only applies to the "entertainment venues" where the predominant lingo is pidgin or thinglish spoken by those with poor command of english, bargirls and punters alike.
It is indeed an aphorism used about the ladies of the night in those establisments. Sounds a lot better than the actual term.
But there is a whole world outside of these venues, where that certainly doesn`t apply.
