Former Thai Tourist Police Volunteer arrested on Pattaya Beach after incident with Beach Prostitute.

Pattaya, September 17 [PATTAYA ONE NEWS] : In the early hours of Thursday Morning Police were called to Pattaya Beach in front of the Royal Garden Plaza to investigate claims from a Beach Prostitute that she was being harassed by a Police Volunteer. Police and other volunteers soon arrived and detained Khun Sakorn aged 47 who was in possession of a leather Police ID Card holder featuring the logo of the Tourist Police. Inside was a Tourist Police Volunteer ID Badge in the name of Khun Sakorn which expired in 2008. According to the complainant Khun Lumduan aged 24, she was approached by the suspect and was asked to provide him with sexual services. She refused and was then told that he was a Tourist Police Officer and she must hand over her Thai ID Card for inspection prior to her arrest. She refused and a crowd began to gather and the Police soon arrived to detain the man who was taken to Pattaya Police Station. The Tourist Police have joined the investigation and confirmed that he was no longer a Tourist Police Volunteer and was not issued with a new badge in 2008. It is expected that charges of impersonating a Police Officer will be lodged against Khun Sakorn who is known to have harassed other women on Pattaya Beach in the past
