Man Sentenced Of Raping 14-year Old Swedish Girl In Thailand By Bjarne Wildau A 40-year-old man from northern Sweden was convicted on Tuesday by Umeå district court for a rape against a Swedish girl in Thailand five years ago. Umeå district court sentenced the man to two and a half years in prison. And furthermore to pay girl at 140.000 kronor in compensation. The man came into contact with the Swedish girl's family during a stay in Thailand in February 2003. The man forced the girl, who was 14 years at that time, to perform oral sex and then forced her into a sexual intercourse. The sentenced man has denied the crime during the trial. The District Court has, however, taken confidence in the girl's story about what took place on the Thai island of Koh Samui.
