Two arrested in major meth bust.! (BangkokPost.com) – Kamphaeng Phet Provincial Police have conducted a major drugs operation to seize methamphetamine pills worth a total of 34 million baht. According to Provincial Police chief region 6, Pol Lt Gen Wasant Wasanont, two suspects were arrested as they were attempting to smuggle the drugs by driving from the North to Bangkok. “Both of the suspects we have in custody are volunteer (paramilitary) rangers,” he said. The first suspect was identified as Roongrit Poonperm, 26, and Jakarin Prommana, 34. Both are based in military camps in Chantaburi province. Authorities found over 116,000 methamphetamine pills, known locally as ya baa, stashed inside an oil drum inside the vehicle driven by the suspects. Both confessed that they were hired to transfer the drugs from Chiang Rai province to Pathum Thani province for 100,000 baht each. Police said the methamphetamine pills had a market value of 34 million baht. |

Og??? Hvorfor er den anholdelse lige så interessant, skulle den give færre skæve lastbilchauffører eller mindre ballade i PathumThani og omegn... |
