Soulful Katrine Madsen - enthusiastic about her first performances on a Thai stage.
PHUKET: In a concert titled “A Touch of Jazz Romance”, the soulful voice of Katrine Madsen will waft over the audience at the Beach Club of the Kata Thani resort this Sunday evening, July 1. She will be backed by the popular Jesper Bodilsen Trio. The Phuket event is a sequel to the star’s concert at Bangkok’s Thailand Cultural Center on Saturday, and is part of her “Colour Your Life” European jazz tour.
Known for her mild, subtle vocal style, Madsen is the author of seven albums, which, according to Hitman Records, the largest distributor of European jazz in Thailand, “reveal an inherent ability to capture musical space and lead the listener into her vocal stories.”
Having just finished performances in Scandinavia, England and the USA, Madsen says she’s excited about the Thai segment of her tour. “I look forward to presenting my music for the first time in Thailand. We will take you on a musical journey. ‘Can’t Buy Me Love’ and ‘August Roses’ will definitely be performed at the concerts,” she enthuses.
