Thailand blocks Youtube over mocking video.
Thailand’s military-installed government has blocked the popular website YouTube over a provocative video that mocks revered King Bhumibol Adulyadej, amid rising political tensions over the role of the monarchy in September’s military coup.

The move is preventative,as such media could be used to promote civil tensions, particularly as the former ousted prime minister is au-fait with technology,and as such can be used to remain in the public eye with his supporters.

Authorities blocked ‘youtube’ following a distasteful musical slideshow involving the King, featuring disparaging images. Last week a Swiss national was sentenced to ten years in Chang Mai for defacing a poster of the King.
