Volvo Cup - SSS Golf, Sunday October 29, 2006 Dear fellow Scandinavian Golfers, We are very pleased to invite you to our annual and prestigious Volvo Cup. The tournament will be played at the challenging Muang Kaew Golf Course on Sunday 29th of October, 2006. The first groups will tee off at 11.28 AM and we have booked 16 tee slots (first come basis). Briefing and welcome will start at 11.00 AM Volvo has decided, that the winner of the Volvo Cup this year, will receive an invitation to the Pro-Am tournament at the Volvo Master of Asia . The tournament will be played at the Thai Country Club in December. To get the chance to play with the professionals is a unique opportunity – something which can not be purchased for money (you might however receive an invitation if you fill up your garage with a few brand new Volvo cars….). The Volvo Masters of Asia, like its well-established European sister event, is played under the unique Volvo Masters format, namely the top 60 players at the Asian Tour. Players qualify as a result of their season-long accumulation of prize money. The ‘champion-of-champions’ format, ensures an exciting and prestigious climax to the season. Kommer lige til at tænke på den golfbane de er ved at anlægge ved siden af Vejlands Allé (ved Bella Centeret) her på Amager. Den ligger lige ud til et stærkt trafikeret vej og jeg kan da lige forestille mig hvad der sker den dag en eller anden inden på banen rammer kuglen lidt forkert og den fiser ind gennem forruden på en forbikørende bil med 80 km/t. Så man må da håbe at dem der giver sig i kast med det også kan finde ud af at slå bolden i den rigtige retning. Sorry, det havde vist ikke meget med nyheden at gøre. Med venlig hilsen
