VISA OFFICERS (temporary positions – 4 months)

The Visa Section at the Royal Danish Embassy has vacant positions for Thai and English speaking Visa
Officers. The persons we are looking for must be service-minded and committed, able to work in a team,
but also have the ability to work independently and be able to handle many tasks at the same time
without losing grasp of the details.

The positions (full time, 37 hours per week, time-limited for 4 months) are available from 1 February 2014.

The Visa Section at the Royal Danish Embassy, which consists of 1 posted and 4 locally employed staff, is a
busy and dynamic part of the Embassy. It works closely with the Danish Immigration Service and the Ministry
of Foreign Affairs in Copenhagen as well as with the Danish Visa Application Centre (VFS) in Bangkok, who
receives the applications for visa and stay permits on behalf of the Embassy.

The work duties are:
 Checking and electronically processing applications for visa and residence permits
 Communication with applicants, Danish references, companies, The Danish Immigration Service, VFS
Application Centre, etc.
 Printing of visa and residence stickers
 Various routine tasks, including filing of applications, etc.

Qualifications:
 Fluent in English (oral and written)
 Fluent in Thai (oral and written)
 Service-minded and considerate with ability to keep composure in a busy work environment with
customers from all levels of society
 Able to work in a team, but also able to take responsibility and work independently
 Able to work in a structured manner and with an eye for details without losing the overview
 Good knowledge of the MS-Office package (Word, Outlook and Excel)
 Knowledge of the Danish language is an advantage, but not a requirement
 Experience from similar kind of work is an advantage, but not a requirement
